Everton FC Westchester fields U16 and U18 U.S. Soccer Development Academy teams and starting in the fall of 2013 will also field a U14 team in the program. The U.S. Soccer Develpopment Academy is a partnership between U.S. Soccer and the top youth clubs around the country to provide the best youth players in the U.S. with a top-level training environment.

The Academy’s programming philosophy of increased training, less total games and more competitive games is based on U.S. Soccer’s Best Practices. In addition to its U.S. Soccer Development Academy teams, FC Westchester boys’ program fields U.S. Pre-Academy and premier teams.

FC Westchester and Everton America CT have partnered to create Everton FC Westchester, an organization designed to bolster both clubs’ programs and provide a unique youth soccer development structure via a separate partnership arrangement with Everton FC of the Barclays Premier League (England).

The partnership will expand the pool of boys’ players available to be selected for FC Westchester’s U14, U16 and U18 U.S. Soccer Development Academy teams.  It will also allow Everton FC Westchester to make its U16 and U18 U.S. Soccer Development Academy programs tuition free. 

The U.S. Soccer Development Academy, in its continual effort to progress and enhance player development, has announced the launch of an Under-13/14 division starting in the Fall of 2013.  The U-13/14 division will consist of current Academy clubs like Everton FC Westchester.

Purchase, NY, August 5, 2012 -- FC Westchester U16 U.S. Soccer Development Academy head coach Jim McElderry is back in New York after serving on the coaching staff of the U.S. U17 National Team at the team's recent week-long training camp at The Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.

FC Westchester alum  Richard Martinez, who plays for the Puerto Rico Islanders, has been named the North American Soccer League (NASL) Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending August 6th,  2012. Martinez made a spectacular goal-line clearance in minute 90 against San Antonio Sunday to preserve a 2-1 Islanders win.

Sarasota, FL (December 6, 2011) -- FC Westchester’s U.S. Soccer Development Academy teams had a successful trip to the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Winter Showcase in Sarasota, with the U16s going unbeaten and the U18s winning two and losing just once.

Soccer America -- the nation’s leading soccer publication -- has named FC Westchester one of the Top 30 Best Boys Youth Clubs in the United States for 2010.
